The Strategist brings the data, research and insights from various departments together so that the agency can create comprehensive (and amazing) strategies for our clients. They help to bring order to chaos by creating frameworks that explain the inexplicable and find magic in the details.

Are you the go-to person when it comes to creating solutions that meet both brand objectives and consumer needs? Can you identify and articulate the consumer insights that drive communications strategies and journeys?

The right candidate is a team player who works together with the rest of the organization and has CPG experience. They know how to inspire but are hands-on enough to make things happen from intake to implementation.

You know that it’s more than leading discovery. It’s about leading the development of the creative brief — the lens through which we judge our work. Your goal is to intimately know and understand an audience through comprehensive discovery. Colleagues would say you’re great at inspiring collaboration — an engaging dialogue helps you formulate your best work. You’re determined to use the discovery process to arrive at the insights that will produce the best work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Uncover data and insights that are core to the consumer

  • Write clear creative briefs and facilitate brainstorms and working sessions among key stakeholders to develop effective solutions which meet stated goals and objectives

  • Clearly and persuasively communicate strategic recommendations to internal and external audiences (with varied levels of experience and understanding)

  • Assist with new business pitches; conducting research, providing inputs into the pitch materials, and being involved with pitch presentations

  • Inspire colleagues and clients with the latest trends (cultural, technological, case studies, market evolutions, etc.) and be an active participant in cross-departmental knowledge sharing

  • Help improve the agency’s internal practices related to research and planning to increase efficiency and results

  • Develop proprietary thought leadership POVs & assets for the benefit of Client.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Comprehensive understanding of brand strategy, branding, digital strategy and social strategy

  • Is experienced in developing brand and creative strategies

  • Strong client-facing skills

  • Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely; strong communicator and storyteller

  • Experience in working closely with both account, creative, media, and analytics teams

  • Fluidity with data & an ability to identify relevant data sources and translate data into meaningful insights

  • Plugged into culture & what’s going on in the world
